The future store at the Friendly Center in Greensboro will fill in Apple store coverage for residents of North Carolina. The location is part of a 75-acre shopping complex northwest of downtown, in a new section opened in 2006. There are existing stores in Raleigh, Durham and Charlotte, east and west of this future location. The store could open in mid-summer 2008.

All the July 31 postings are links to a picture of the Williams-Sonoma construction. The Apple store is going up right beside it, with an Anthropologie to the right. (Ged confirms this at the following link: http://gedblog.com/2008/08/17/greensboro-apple-store-update/) On November 10 or so, I saw workers putting up an aluminum frame, which is now covered in classic black. Pictures coming soon.
