The issue of hacked, unregistered and non-working iPhones has received media attention beyond its actual importance. Now the issue may really take off with the release of hidden video that was taped by an iPhone user during his visit to a Genius Bar for warranty service. The person called insanim8ter posted the seven-minute, 30 second video showing him at the Pioneer Square (Portland, Ore.) Apple store, and talking to a Genius about his non-working iPhone. The result of their conversation is that the Genius would not swap or provide service for the phone, since it wasn’t registered with AT&T, even though it was not working properly. Watch the video and decide for yourself what the visitor’s motive actually is.

The guy is such a ” Larry ” read your the license agreement you idiot! You voided that when you hacked your phone. You should be banned from all Apple products.
So this guy hacked his iphone and he want Apple to replace it. No way!
I agree with Apple and ATT’s position. Why should any company replace a device that the consumer knowingly modified. This guy needs to grow up.
This was at Pioneer Place in Portland, Oregon.
