Bay Street Ready for Re-Opening

October 2, 2007

A rare find: side-by-side Apple stores in Emeryville (N. Calif.), where the old and new Bay Street stores are both closed while workers and staffers move operations from one to the other. The renovated store re-opens Thursday in a same-size space, but with a full V2.0 interior design. No word on why Apple decided to renovate this way, instead of its usual close-and-renovate method. Check a photo of reverse construction: the new store (right), with the old store (left) behind a construction barricade.
