Thanks to Vincent for the photos of the underground Carrousel du Louvre shopping center in central Paris, which the MacBidouiille Web site earlier speculated might become an Apple store site. The mall is beneath the Tuilleries garden, and adjacent to the Louvre entrance, making it a huge destination for locals and tourists. Check his photos and recon here.

Last time I was down there was 2001, and if I remember correctly there sure wasn’t a lot of shops down there. But the shops were very upscale, so I guess it would be a decent place for an Apple Store. Especially if the stores are open Sunday. There is an entrance to/from the Louvre down there as well, so I’m certain there will be a lot of traffic.
