Apple Looking at Downtown Atlanta

September 15, 2007

Apple retail execs are in negotiations with a trio of developers who are building a 35-story condo/retail project along the Midtown Mile in Atlanta (Geo.), according to a tipster. The 1010 Midtown development will include 443 luxury condos, and 38,000 square-feet of ground floor retail space that could open in Spring 2009. The project is part of a multi-block project by the developers, and a coordinated city redevelopment of 14 blocks into an urban shopping and residential district that could eventually rival Chicago’s Magnificent Mile.

Finally, a full store. Not just Mall places. Then again Lenox just had there store to be renovated to be huge (Maybe a thousand ft? I can’t guess size). Why would they be putting in a new store?
