Tipsters have confirmed the grand opening of the Buchanan Street (Glasgow, Scotland) retail store on Saturday, August 25th at 9 a.m. The event will include commemorative T-shirts for the first 1,500 visitors, and a MacBook and iPod sweepstakes prize. The two-level store is set inside an elegant and historic building in city center. It’s the first store to open in Scotland.

Yup, planning on heading across to Glasgow from Edinburgh early doors on Saturday morning.

I happened to be passing the Glasgow Apple store this morning and they have now removed the black window coverings, revealing the store insides to the world at large. I took a few snaps and posted them to flickr here:

The Travel Inn is really good - the staff are friendly and the rooms are kept tidy.
