San Antonio (Tex.) is the country’s fourth fastest-growing large city, and an obvious choice for a second Apple store to serve the city’s 1.3 million residents–and now they’ll have it. Apple has committed to opening a store at the super-regional North Star Mall on the city’s north side, about 10 miles from the existing La Cantera store. The mall claims to have been the country’s fifth shopping mall when it opened in 1960. The Apple store could open mid-summer 2008.
