Thanks to Brian for an update on the future Deer Park Town Center (Ill.) store, which is mostly finished on the inside, but missing its stainless steel façade. He says the interior steel siding is installed, along with the wall backlighting. The store is adjacent to American Eagle Outfitters, and workers have erected the framing for the façade behind the black construction barricade.

I live about 15 minutes away from this particular Apple Store. To have one this far out in the northern suburbs is definitely unique. It’s on Route 12, which is a major vein for this part of Lake County, IL. And I gotta tell ya, it’s an awesome place to put an Apple store - lots of traffic and gobs of snobby, pretentious and rich teenagers :) Wish I were completely kidding, but it will bring some good business Apple’s way.
thats good news. for a while there i wasnt sure which store was which because they’re building numerous new stores over there.
good work brian
Good to have one in Lake County, but once again, it’s a stone’s throw from Cook County. WE NEED A STORE FURTHER NORTH. To those of us up in the Gurnee/Lindenhurst area the Deer Park Store is no closer than Northbrook Court - in fact it’s even further from us.
I’ll be there for the grand opening, but still it’s too far.
Ya I live in a nearby town and it will have great business becuase everyone i know around here is getting hooked on apple . Ya and many have a nice income.
Just drove by today, and there was a big blue tarp covering either the framing of the metal exterior. It could be up because of the torrents of rain we’ve been having recently, or just to cover up the logo and store before they’re ready to unveil the rest of the store.

As of 25 Aug the entire store is encapsulated by a black plywood box with the Apple logo. No way to see inside.
Congrats to Tim and his gang for getting in line eleven hours in advance of opening. They blew my chance at a three-peat. Hundreds of enthusiasts made the event a celebration. Good luck, Apple Deer Park.
