Orland Park Store Opening Set

July 17, 2007

The Orland Park Mall (Ill.) store will hold its grand opening this Saturday, the third store to open that day, and the sixth in the state. The second second half of the year will be busy for Apple store openings, with at least 20 more stores opening before the holiday shopping season. This grand opening will feature the usual commemorative T-shirts and prize sweepstakes.

6th in the state. My guess is you looked at the list on apple’s site, saw 6 listed, and figured it’s the seventh, but it is in fact on that list of 6. I’ll probably be there. So now Illinois will have every make and model of store minus the original mini store design. [IFO -- Thanks...corrected!]

It seems really funny, they seem to be circling Indiana!! Hopefully Apple decides to build a store in Fort Wayne like the “Fort Wayne Future Store” post said. I say “Circling” because new stores are opening in Ann Arbor, MI and this one in Illinois. Apple is focusing in this area a lot recently. Hopefully one in Fort Wayne will come soon!
