The first person in line for today’s West Towne Mall (Madison, Wisc.) retail store grand opening arrived at 1:30 a.m., but had to wait for several hours until the mall actually opened. Thanks to csmoll for the photo of the very orderly waiting line, which also shows the V2.0 interior of the new store. From the photo, it’s obvious that the transition has been completed to a mini-store interior design.

I was number 30 in line that morning and this shot was out of date by 8AM when we arrived. By the time 10 AM came around the line wound to the North end of the mall turned around and went to the Food Court and then turned back down the hallway/mall about half way. It was a joyous event and a good showing for Madison area. I have photos and a small movie off the Opening, but do not know how to send to you. Let me know if you’d like them.
