Future Munich Store Construction Begins

Construction work on the future Apple retail store in Munich (Germany) is well underway, leading to a Summer 2008 grand opening. Workers have finished demolition of a building at 1 Rosenstrasse in the very center of the city, and they will now begin erecting a four-story building to house the country’s first Apple store. The store will be just yards away from City Hall, and the famous Glockenspiel that entertains visitors four times a day with life-size figures that recreate the city’s history. The construction site is plastered with huge iPod banners, but otherwise shows no Apple connection.
