I find it hard to believe that Apple would open its next store in Napoli (let alone in the far away suburbs of Napoli). Apple computers are even more expensive abroad than they are in the states, and southern Italy (basically everything below Rome) is significantly poorer than the rest of the country. I doubt there would be enough consumers to make this work.

Besides, the entire blog post you cite is all based on one anonymous email they received… sounds more like wishful thinking and speculation than any actual evidence.

i would imagine that apple’s next stores will probably be in Milano and Firenze (maybe Venezia as well), but I doubt you’ll see anything in the south any time soon.

I Agree.
I lived in Mergelina, which is the heart of the city in Naples, and recently moved out in the burbs of Naples as I just dont see the audience for Apple in southern Italy. As much as I would welcome not having to visit the newly opened Rome store two hours to the North I fear that our poster makes a convincing argument. However, to Naples credit they do have FNAC, IKEA, and Leroy Merlins so I will keep my fingers crossed about Naples.
