Apple will pierce the darkness of a three-state black-out zone with a store at The Promenade at Chenal mall in Little Rock (Ark.). It’s not only the first store in the state, but also the first among Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi. The first store in the Gulf Coast states open in Alabama last April, almost six years after the first store in Apple’s chain. The open-air lifestyle center is now under construction, and is scheduled to open in Spring 2008.

wow, i hope this is true. it would be great to have one in little rock. the closest one to us is memphis, which is great for weekend visits, but not when you need something.
Agreed; after visiting the stores in Dallas and Plano, I want one close by. (I almost typed “buy”, so let’s get it built — I’ve got money to spend, Apple!)
