The latest Apple TV commercial featuring “Mac” and “PC” includes a third-character–a Mac Genius, who demonstrates her brainpower by rattling off square-roots and other computational tasks tossed out by PC. But who plays the part of the Genius? Actor or real Genius? By the way, it’s the first ever real advertising for the retail stores by Apple.

That commercial made me cringe… those poor Genii take enough crap for being called “Genius” already. That commercial just is going to make the flood of stupid comments/questions they get already even worse. Too bad Apple didn’t have PC ask the MG questions about helping with a Mac… which really would have illustrated better what in hell a Mac Genius is in the first place; not the know-it-all as shown in the ad.
No idea re Genius, but Mac’s new haircut is looking pretty good……..
My guess is she’s an actor. One other point. I think they made a special t-shirt for her to be more easily read on TV. I’m pretty sure that the print on the in-store shirts is not quite that large.

From the way she performs her dialogue, I was thinking she was a real employee from some store.

Gill is right: Mac Genius’ answer a lot of stupid and silly questions every single day, mostly from store management.

No actors. I think she is a real, actual Apple Genius. And that is a real, actual PC computer and a real, actual Mac computer.
There are no MGs that cute. Definitely actress.
