Very cool! It took me a while to figure out how access the downloaded Apple Store file (check the menu box next to the Apple Store folder in the temporary files folder; when you go to exit the Google Earth program it will ask you if you want to save it in your favorites folders).

I believe that you can simply drag the folder up into the “My Places” area where it will always stay. I placed everything in it’s own folder so that you could easily turn off the ones you don’t need, say Japan if you’re never going there, and it won’t use up that processing power.

all you do is extract the folder, then double click the file in it then click the play button. Google Earth will then take you on a mini tour.

If you rename the zip file to .kmz, it will load without any problems. (kmz is zip-compressed kml)
