Tulsa Store Underway

March 21, 2007

Construction is finally underway at the long-identified future store at the Woodland Hills (Tulsa, Okla.) mall. The mall was first identified as a future store site back in October, 2004. A construction barricade has now appeared [thanks Harold!] in space #168, and hammering/sawing can be heard from inside [since painted all black?]. The space is about 45 feet wide on the lower level of the mall. It will be the state’s second store and could open by July.

Isnt it odd that the construction barricade at this mall is not the standard Apple-branded design?

I wondered about that but this is Tulsa and everything is a little different here. It is real though…

…apparently not what everyone was expecting, but I can assure you it’s much nicer than what they usually do.

According to Simon Malls site, this store is already opened! Holy crap, I hope I didn’t miss the grand opening – it wasn’t on any blogs. Can anyone confirm if the construction barrier is still up? [IFO-No grand opening yet, but it's imminent.]
