The grand opening of the Kahala (Hi.) retail store is scheduled for February 10th, the first opening in three months. The store in Honolulu is located about three miles south of the main Waikiki Beach tourist area, while the existing Ala Moana store is about a mile north. The grand opening is among the seven stores that Apple has promised will open before March 31st.

1300 people in the first hour. The line was still as long as when they opened. No front display and no case. No check-out counter. Employees use a hand-held device that can scan UPCs.
