It’s been known for awhile that Apple would open a store at the 50 year-old Bayshore Town Center north of Milwaukee (Wisc.), which just underwent a $200 million renovation, and re-opened last November. The mall almost doubled its space for upscale retailers, and will eventually include an entertainment complex with a restaurant, six small luxury theaters and an 11-lane bowling center. Now retail sources say that Apple has finalized a deal to occupy an unknown space at the mall for a mid to late 2007 grand opening. The store will be about seven miles from the existing Mayfair store, and will be the second store in the state.

Been waiting for this one for a while. Another store is exactly what we need here. When they announced the Bayshore expansion plans a few years back, we were pretty excited about the fact that Apple would fit right in. The stores may be ‘close’ to each other, but it isn’t exactly a quick trip between them. This is a really good move for Apple. This is a completely different side of a town and a totally different market than the Mayfair store.
uh…London, Ontario come on!
7 miles might seem like a short distance between them, but between the two of them you have the village of ‘Tosa, downtown Milwaukee, etc. The trip would probably need the use of the freeway. I’m soo going to the opening of this store.
Wisconsin needs an Apple Store in the booming Fox Valley Mall, about 100 miles north of Milwaukee, near Green Bay. That mall gets more foot traffic that either of the Milwaukee stores!
