New Year’s Celebrations in Japan

Apple’s seven Japan retail stores are holding special events to celebrate oshogatsu, New Year’s Day, which is generally considered the country’s biggest annual holiday. The store events include DJ appearances, workshops for kids, and the traditional fukubukuro, or Lucky Bags.

Apple retail stores will hold ‘Lucky Bag’ special events for celebrating the new year 2008. The contents inside of the Luky Bag will focus on accessories or other goods for iPod. The Price will be 35,000yen(about $312). The retail stores will begin selling the bags on coming January 2, 2008. Online Apple store is selling 10 bags a day from Dec. 6th to 25th and bags are to be delivered on January 2, 2008.
