The 4.1 million residents of the Houston (Tex.) metro area will receive their fifth Apple store next summer when the Baybrook Mall store opens on the city’s southeast side. The mall not only serves the surrounding high-income residents, but also NASA, ARCO, Philips Chemical, The Boeing Company, Lockheed Martin, Exxon Mobil and the University of Houston-Clear Lake. It will be the state’s 12th Apple store, putting it in the top three states in number of stores.

SWEET!!! Baybrook needed it. I was surprised to see First Colony getting one before Baybrook. Baybrook is only second to The Galleria in retail wise.
Just had someone tell me they were offered a job there - it’s going to happen - I live less than two miles from Baybrook and all I can say is it’s about time!
I visited baybrook mall today (I was trying to find the closing compusa and got horribly lost) and found the apple store.

Nothing exciting yet. I have noticed it’s like the 4th or 5th Apple store across the hall/next door to a Victoria’s secret. Are the two companies in cahoots? :p
I am hearing from a friend at the local user group (Houston Area Apple User Group - HAAUG.org) that May 12th is looking good for the Baybrook store opening. If I hear more I’ll update!
