Everything in Japan is space sensitive, Tokyo even more so. there is a Home Depot in midtown Manhattan at 28 W. 23rd St. one block west of Madison Sq. Garden. It's five stories--five very compact floors. You look at Google Map satellite pictures and you would never believe that there is a Home Depot there. That store is one of the top five revenue producers.

Granted Ginza is five floors, but they're all small floors, hence why there's five of them. I can see this store as easily being in the top 5 of sales space, perhaps more like 3 or even 2.

While I am glad Apple is coming to Boston, I dont see why they could not restore the facade of the historic building and build behind it. Apple has done this before in other historic districts and should be a better corporate citizen. Look at the wonderful store in London and imagine something like that with the extising Boston building.

Least I be considered a plagerist, the Ginza info can be found under the "Stores now and future" link near the top of the left-hand sidebar. Gotta give credit to our webmaster Gary.
