An Apple reseller opened a new store last month in Jakarta (Indonesia) that features new technology in traditional settings. The Mac@Icon store sells Macintosh and iPod gear surrounded by dark carved wood furniture, colorful pillows, fruit displays, a music performance stage and photo studio. The store is located in south Jakarta, on the ground floor retail level of a “lifestyle” hotel complex.

Wow, indeed very cool blend of technology and traditional Javanese furniture. This is surely one great concept store. Who says Indonesians are so far behind? The Wiki site too looks great, can’t understand though since its written in Indonesian language.
What’s that glowing glass thing in the background in several shots? It kinda looks like the base of a glass staircase, even though I know it’s not. Also, that’s a nice stage. I see at least two moving lights, and those aren’t cheap. Good ones can be several thousand, even though those two look pretty basic, still probably $500 each.
Nice Look overall.
