Texas Store Wins ‘Best’ Award

October 16, 2006

Kudos to the Apple team at the Barton Creek (Austin, Tex.) retail store, which received the 2006 award for “Best Computer Store” from the Austin Chronicle newspaper. The award is based on a poll of the newspaper’s readers, and the newspaper noted, “The store itself is a veritable Garden of Eden, with walls of software (yes, Mac’s got software) and entire sections dedicated to every little widget your noble iPod could desire.” The store opened in June, 2004 on the city’s southwest side. The 2005 award was given to Fry’s, with the newspaper noting, “Don’t forget to check the Apple aisle for what may be the best selection in town.” Ouch!
