The Arndale (Manchester, UK) store grand opening will be this Saturday at 9 a.m. in space U23, with the usual commemorative T-shirts and a giveaway prize that includes a 20-inch iMac. It’s not clear if the store will occupy two levels, like other adjacent stores in this section of the mall. Several new stores opened last February after a $260 million redevelopment and expansion of the downtown mall.

can’t wait to see the ‘new’ designed store… i’ll be there queuing with my starbucks at 8am! and the big question…1 level or 2.. or will apple magic give us a 3 levels?!!
It is only 1 level. That was confirmed today by a guy looking out of the hole where the logo is yet to go….. all that’s above the entrance is air considitioning etc….
Dont know how true this could be because Apple are opening a new store in Manchester at the weekend. However yesterday in the Centre of Manchester (approx 1.5 miles away from the due to open Apple Store). 7 people where moving long 3 meter adverts which you seen on the walls in applestore, into a unit in the big retail complex in Picadilly gardens. The windos are all covered so we couldnt see what else was in there but when i asked one the contractors he refused to comment and said it ws very hush hush. We also saw some the apple furniture arrive which looked extremely heavy?
Have u heard about another applestore in Manchester? there isnt anything on the site?
Maybe Apple are opening an iPod store?!?
Picadilly after all is a big train station with lots of people coming in/out of it: would make sense - all those peeps and long journeys to buy iPods etc.!
Why open another Apple Store Manchester already has two? It doesn’t make sense Birmingham only has one.
The store is going to be a premium Apple reseller - called the Digital Store. Signage gone up and can just about see ipod and macbook posters inside which are quite similar to the Apple store proper.
No indication as to when opening but looks close to completion,
