The retail store Concierge service reservation system was out-of-service late Tuesday night for an upgrade that is not all that obvious. The Web addresses have changed and the screens are different, indicating a complete software re-write that takes out Flash and adds in WebObjects. Sadly, Genius Bar reservation availability is still limited. At 10 a.m. BST I tried to make a reservation at the Regent Street store, only to receive the message, “Unfortunately, there are no more reservations available today. Please check back tomorrow.”

Actually, this was a complete rewrite of Concierge using WebObjects (See the URL). The kiosk application in the store is now Cocoa — no more flash or Cold Fusion.
Also, ProCare customers can book up to 14 days in advance with the new system.
