Apple Confirms 3 New UK Stores

The MacWorld UK Web site says that Apple’s European vice-president Pascal Cagni has confirmed three additional stores by year’s end. MacWorld offered no details on Cagni’s comments, but only that Cagni confirmed, “new plans to focus on retail in Europe.” No doubt Cagni is referring to the long-known stores at WestQuay (Southampton), Arndale Center (Manchester) and Bentall Centre (Kingston). According to the Web site, Cagni also said Apple plans to install “iPod listening posts offering direct access to iTunes in key stores and those of certain partners.”
