Fifth Avenue-1 Million Visitors

September 10, 2006

The Fifth Avenue (NYC) store honored its one millionth visior with gifts, less than four months after it opened. At 2 p.m. on Sept. 9th, Elizabeth Rodriguez came down the glass stairs and received a MacBook, iPod, iPod Hi-Fi, and an Apple ProCare membership from store employees. During the latest quarter, other stores in the chain averaged 8,956 visitor per week. Compare that to the first 114 days of Fifth Avenue, which hosted an average of 8,772 visitors each day, or about 7 times the traffic of other stores. Find a photo of the surprised Ms. Ridriguez here.
