Another Boston Design

June 14, 2006

Apple will today present a revised design to Boston’s Back Bay Architectural Commission for a proposed retail store on Boylston Street, after enduring criticism of its original design from the Commission back in March. A story on the Boston.com Web site quotes architect Stephen V. Miller of McDermott saying the company is presenting different ideas this time, “variations on the original design that take into account input we’ve gotten from the staff and members of the commission to tie the façade more into other buildings in the area.” Miller has previously said the project would be dead unless Apple is allowed to demolish the current building and build anew at 815 Boylston Street.
