‘Even More’ for Minneapolis Area

There is even one more future store planned for the Minneapolis (Minn.) region, according to Sr. VP Retail Ron Johnson, in an e-mail to Julio Ojeda-Zapa, tech writer for the St. Paul (Minn.) Pioneer Press newspaper. Ojeda-Zapa writes in his tech blog confirming the future Ridgedale store, and quoting general manager Duke Zurek that it will be bigger than the existing Rosedale store, and feature the new combined Genius and Studio Bars. The store will be “right in the heart” of Ridgedale’s first level, Zurek said. According to Ojeda-Zapa, Johnson told him in an e-mail, “Stay tuned for even more (I am sorry it is not in St. Paul … but it is another store).” It’s a rare public comment on future stores for Johnson, who lived in the Minneapolis region before arriving at Apple.
