Tourists and kids are mobbing the display computers at the Regent Street (London) store, checking e-mail and surfing Web sites, according to the Smarthouse/News Web site (reg. req.). Visitors wait up to an hour for their turn at a computer, and an employee told the writer that the visitors complain when they’re asked to vacate the computer. The writer said, “We saw one visitor complain to an Apple employee that he was in the middle of writing a report for his university studies and that ‘he did not have time to move from the demonstration computer.’” The problem is not unique to the Regent Street store, and has been an on-going issue at other high-profile stores in particular.
