At Least One Store Holding iPod Giveaway

Some Mac users in southern California have received an official Apple e-mail notification of an iPod giveaway at the Beverly Center store. According to the promo, “Every night in March we’ll give away an iPod [30 Gb], iPod nano [2 Gb], or iPod shuffle [512 Mb].” The wording specifically limits the program to the Beverly Center store. The store’s Web page mentions the promo, and includes a link to the rules. There are no reports that similar e-mail is being sent out for other retail stores, and no similar promos on store Web pages.
