The first store grand opening of 2006! Thanks to the World of Apple for the first photos of the Brent Cross (London) store grand opening, and a report. You can see the new window display that features the Intel iMac, and asks the question, “What’s an Intel chip doing in a Mac?” The photos also show the side-by-side Genius and Studio bars. The store appears to have retained the ‘home’ and ‘pro’ sections at the front, followed by two more ‘home’ and ‘pro’ sections, then two ‘iLife’ sections, the two bars and an ‘etc’ section, and then the software/books and POS at the far end of the store. Also thanks to Keith for these photos of the store opening. Note the person in the waiting line wearing a jacket with an original “rainbow” Apple logo on the back.
