2 New Stores in Existing Regions

No new store regions are targeted by Apple’s two latest retail store locations, in metro District of Columbia and Long Island (NY). The Fair Oaks Mall in Fairfax (Virg.) is alongside I-66 with 180 shops and restaurants. The region around the mall has one of the highest household incomes I’ve identified for Apple’s retail stores–over $111,000. The second store will be inside the Smith Haven Mall, mid-way out on Long Island, with 140 shops and restaurants after a $73 million renovation. The stores will be the 9th for the DC region and the 16th for the NYC region. Of the most recent 18 future stores I’ve identified, 15 have been located in existing Apple store territories. The other three are located in Rome, Toronto and Reno (Nev.).
