Apple has nixed a proposed expansion of the AppleCentre Taylor Square in Sydney (Australia), according to the owner of the authorized reseller, citing concerns over credit limits. A story on the “CRN Australia” Web site quotes owner Ben Morgan saying his credit record met Apple’s requirements, but he was turned down anyway. Morgan said he’ll attempt to increase business by expanding his existing Mac Academy training operation and adding new services. Apple Australia marketing director Rob Small declined to comment on the situation. It’s long been known that Sydney is on Apple’s list of cities for a retail store, and chatter over locations has increased over the past month.
