Amidst the continuing development of the Las Vegas Strip is a second Apple retail store. Property developer Turnberry Associates announced that Apple will be a tenant of the Town Square super-regional lifestyle center that will open in early 2007 at the far south end of the Strip. The development is intended to attract both locals and tourists with a combination of 150 shops, 12 restaurants, a multi-screen cinema, a 230-room luxury boutique hotel, office space, an outdoor concert venue and other features. The complex will be at the intersection of I-15 and I-215, and will include a new car rental facility for the city’s adjacent airport. The complex does not include a casino, but Turnberry still expects to draw heavily from Las Vegas residents and those who are just visiting. The current Apple store is about 5 miles north of this new site, inside the Fashion Show Mall.
