Apple will open three new retail stores, but won’t break out into any unserved territories. Rather, the company will continue to round out existing store regions, in one case adding a new store just 10-minutes from an existing one. First, the third Denver-region store will appear at the Flatiron Crossing (Broomfield) mall, an indoor-outdoor center that includes 30 acres of open space. Next, the Los Angeles store region continues to expand westward with the future Simi Valley Town Center retail store, in a fast-growing and upscale area of Ventura County. Lastly, the Atlanta region will receive its third retail store at the Perimeter Mall on the city’s north side. This location is just 6.5 road miles from the Lenox Square store, or about 10 minutes driving time, indicating that Apple believes it’s an active area for customers.
