Future Stores in Existing Regions

Where is Apple going with its 35 to 40 new stores during fiscal 2006? I can only tell you that there are 49 store regions by my count. That means 77 stores are located within the same city or metro area, and 26 single-site stores in the U.S. Looking ahead, it’s reasonable to believe, then, that Apple will follow the same formula: six new store cities, 24 stores in existing U.S. metro areas, and 10 in other countries. There are 15 U.S. and five international future stores on my confirmed list, and another 20 unconfirmed locations, so there is no end of possibilities.
