A new Studio section has opened at the North Michigan Avenue (Chicago) and San Francisco stores after some heavy-duty construction, and are being promoted in e-mail to Mac users with the tagline, "Your ideas. Our help." At the same time, however, the planned Studio at the upcoming Century City (S. Calif.) is on hold or cancelled. At NMA, the circular Studio bar takes the place of the second-floor Internet café, which only attracted hangers-on and didn’t generate any revenue.
