The Bridgeport Village (Ore.) retail store will not hold its grand opening on May 19th, despite such an announcement on the mall’s Web site, which apparently just lumped the Apple store into the same day that the mall itself holds its grand opening. More accurately, the store will open some time in June.

A local newsaper confirms the future Eastview Mall (NY) retail store, in the 3,600 s.f. former B. Dalton Books space. The property manager notes the mall is 98% occupied, and it took two years to obtain the appropriate space for Apple.

A widespread series of sidewalk billboards has appeared in Paris for the iPod line of products, and at least one McDonalds restaurant has sprouted iPods at each table under plastic, allowing diners to listen to music via headphones. Makes one wonder if a retail store can be far behind.
