Apple’s Big Dog of research computing, Matt MacInnis, will appear at the SoHo (NYC) store this Wednesday from 6p-8p, to demonstrate the merits of OS X v10.4 and the Xserve G5 for scientists, engineers, creative professionals, "and others needing more computational power than their desktops can provide." MacIinnis is a Harvard University (‘02) grad with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and joined Apple last year as Manager, Research Computing, to help grow the company’s high performance computing biz.
