I’m hearing that Apple’s retail training procedures have been tweaked a bit: at least some trainees have been assigned a Powerbook laptop loaded with software applications, so they can familiarize themselves with the applications at any time during their training period (homework?). Previously, there was no real hands-on training with applications, forcing employees to learn from Web-based training courses, or use the store’s computers when they could to learn about the software.
