I like to eat local, so a trip to West Des Moines (Ia.) found me seated in front of a nice cut of swordfish at the Seafood Market Restaurant on University Avenue. Somewhere from another booth I hear the words "toilet seat," and I immediately started thinking of those old fruit-colored iBooks–ah, the good old days! Turns out the guy really is talking about toilets, since he’s in charge of some type of construction hereabouts. When I tell him a future Apple store is just 4 miles away, at the Jordan Creek Town Center, he reveals the store will be precisely 3,004 square feet, and that Apple has put a valuation of $700,000 on the project to create the new store. Good fishing!
