Apple reported revenues of $1.909 billion for the second quarter of fiscal 2004, and a profit of $46 million, both down slightly from the previous quarter, but up substantially compared to the same quarter of 2003. Read more financial information….
Apple will have 88 stores open by the end of October, and the company confirmed they’ll open a store in London by the end of 2004. The retail segment reported generally lower results– revenue was $266 million for the quarter, down slightly from the previous quarter ($273m) but still up compared to the same quarter of 2003 ($135m). That figure is about 14% of total revenues, which is virtually the same as the previous quarter. CPU sales at the retail stores totaled 70,000 units, compared to 73,000 in the previous quarter, and 42,000 during Q2 of 2003. See the charts and graphs…
