The new ProCare service available at retail stores is being promoted by medium-sized poster behind the desktop computer display, and with a card that compares, "Benefits of Buying at the Apple Store." The Mac Genius on-line reservation system has become active, and there are links associated with each individual retail store (Palo Alto, for example). Interestingly, the reservation Web page asks you to enter your ProCare ID number, but then adds, " If you do not have a ProCare card, you can still ask us hold (sic) a space for you in today’s Genius Bar queue." That suggests you can still make a current-day reservation for a Genius consultation without a ProCare card.
