Concrete Being Poured
On June 20th the first concrete pumping trucks arrived and began pouring the first parts of the foundation, according to the time-lapse video of the site. After demolition, all of the work has really been about the foundation, which is necessary because of the backbay location of the store. It's not as simple as just driving some piles into the ground, or laying down a concrete slab. The constant ground water requires a pretty complex foundation. But the arrival of concrete means they are making some progress!

Ooooh, very cool!
Thanks for setting up the webcam fellas, I look at it everyday to see the progress. Nothing like having a video documentary on the flagship Boston store.
Bravo!
Wow ... I love this .... can't wait to see pictures of a workman on site. Still haven't seen one yet. I wonder whether the two pipes will ever move??? This is great, love the webcam. Its one of my widgets!!!!
I must admit fascination with this project. I've been downloading the vids since day 1. However a couple of critiques. jun21 is a repeat of jun20, and jul6 is actually jul5.
Keep up the great work, and when the heck are you going to chop down that tree? :)
I have looked at this twice now but being in the UK, its always night when I do so there's nothing going on :-(

A concrete floor is being poured as I type this. Looks like the structure is being defined by what looks like the rebar.
