Day #2
Demolition work on Day #2 was much less dramatic than yesterday. The excavator mostly cleared out debris from the back portion of the building that was demolished yesterday, and began working on the last portion of the structure still standing at the front of the lot. Workers are starting around 7 a.m. and knocking off at 3 p.m., which is a typical construction schedule. I've posted a time-lapse video of the first day's demolition, and also a video of today's action. And to keep a closer eye on the Webcam, Antonio has created a Widget that you can download here.

In Europe it is already day, while in America it is still night. When begun to work? : -)

Any way you could zoom out just a hair so we could see onlookers and gawkers on the sidewalk (at least their upper bodies)?
this is actually the view across an alleyway, so the only people out there are construction workers. every now & then, you'll see a roll-off dumpster in the picture - they come right down the alley & back out again, but it's pretty devoid of spectators.
Gotcha. Thanks for responding...
Not very apparent from the Web cam's position is the fact that the new Apple Store faces (in same direction as the cam) a major Boston commercial complex and the city's tallest skyscraper (The Pru) Prudential Center. By the looks of it there is also construction across Boylston Street, which the new Apple Store faces
