The fourth store in Spain will open this Friday at the La Cañada shopping mall in the city of Marbella, along the southern coast. Apple opened its first store in Spain just 14 months ago, part of an international emphasis for new stores that partly stems from the continuing U.S. economic woes. The city’s population is only 125,000, but it is a major tourist destination. As a result, La Cañada’s visitors include a wide range of cultures and countries, all looking to spend money at the center’s 150 shops. The grand opening will be held at 10 a.m. An additional store should open in Spain by year’s end, along Carrer de Cristóbal Colon in Valencia.
