It will be an international triple play this weekend for Apple retail store grand openings, with locations opening in the UK, Spain and the United States. The first two openings will occur at the same moment, at the Festival Place shopping mall in Basingstoke southwest of London, and at the Parquesur mall in Madrid (Spain). Strangely, because of time zones, the Festival Place store will open at 9 a.m. on the clock, and the Parquesur store will open at 10 a.m. In the United States, the 4th Street store will open in Berkeley (N. Calif.) at 10 a.m. It’s the first new Apple store to open in the Bay Area in nearly three years. Apple has said it will open another 20 stores before the end of September, including one in Hong Kong.
