Confirmation Of Next North Carolina Store

May 30, 2011

The state of North Carolina is one of the America’s high-tech centers, as evidenced by Apple’s decision to locate a huge datacenter about 30 miles outside of Charlotte. Now, perhaps coincidentally, Apple will open a second store in Charlotte, inside the Northlake Mall on the city’s north side. According to a job listing and just-issued building permits, the future store will occupy space #280 on the second level of the mall, about 16 miles north of the existing SouthPark location. When it opens by year’s end, it will be the fifth store in the state.

The future Apple store will occupy space #280 on the second level, in the former Arden B store. (Exactly which of the three empty spaces is #280? — help!)
