Another Melbourne Region Store Revealed

April 1, 2011

Apple has created a mystery for retail store watchers in Australia with a job posting for a location identified only by the postal code “3205,” corresponding to South Melbourne. The store will be about 12 miles away from the existing Doncaster and Chadstone Apple stores that serve nearly four million residents in the region. The omission of a specific mall or location name could be related to Apple’s legendary secrecy, or it could simply mean the location has no place name. Based on previous new store timelines, this location could open by late October.

Likely then to be around the classy Southbank area by the banks of the Yarra River and Crown Casino. Computers Now is VERY close as well. Same Postcode.

I think it’s likely that it’s a placeholder postcode… South Melbourne seems like such an unlikely location at this stage.

Definitely not South Melbourne, it is a placeholder, it will be Southland in Cheltenham without a doubt.
